T H E   S T O R Y

The Accounts Team is a small bookkeeping company, first trading as RS Office Services, set up by Ruth Wood in November 2010. As a young single mother, after her children began school full-time, Ruth wanted to work in a professional capacity but with the flexibility and freedom needed. Setting up RS Office Services allowed Ruth to use her bookkeeping skills and financial knowledge to provide an excellent service to her clients whilst still being a committed mother. The business has grown from strength to strength since this time, empowering young women to use their business skills in a more relaxed, less corporate manner and hope to continue to be successful well into the future. In July 2022, Ruth decided it was the right time to change the name of the business, now known as The Accounts Team.

No request is ever too big or small, we are always happy to help where we can to enable our customers to get on with what they do best. What sets us apart from others is our ability to communicate financials in a clear, concise and understandable way. This allows us to work in a multitude of industries, across different cultures with varied expertise, helping to educate individuals with little or no finance knowledge on the performance of their business. We have an excellent team with fantastic customer service skills who have an aptitude for fulfilling our clients needs. This is proven with our retention rates, as we have some customers who have used our services for many years. We feel that we are a unique bookkeeping service that provides incredibly detailed and accurate financials with a smile!

We take our position very seriously and are very dependable and trustworthy, allowing businesses to rely on us to make payments, access supplier accounts, engage with customers and deal with HMRC on their behalves.  We pride ourselves on our "can do" attitude, always working and interacting in a positive manner, as we really do love what we do! We like to share in our customer successes and challenges, as we truly are considered part of our client's team.
